The Academy of Classical Design is located in Southern Pines, a small historic village in central North Carolina. It is about one hour south of the Raleigh-Durham airport and near several university, civic art museums, and the private studio of Director D. Jeffrey Mims.

Each student is responsible for their own living arrangements. A list of local realtors is available for student housing. Apartment solutions are often arranged through student networking and can generally be found in the $650 to $1000 price range.
