Among the many difficult events of 2020, one special anniversary has been remembered in the November issue of Traditional Building Magazine. In the article’s opening sentence, Judy Hayward writes, Five-hundred years after his death, Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino, the artist known as Raphael (1483 – 1520) is still celebrated as one of the finest artists ever to have worked in fresco.
Professor, David Mayernik from the School of Architecture at the University of Notre Dame, and Academy director, D. Jeffrey Mims have both contributed interviews to this homage to the art of fresco painting and the enduring legacy of Raphael.
