PAUL BROWN

Paul Brown was born on August 11, 1967 and now lives in London, England. Brown attended the North Carolina School of Arts and Sewanee, before moving to Florence, Italy. In Florence, Brown studied at Studio Cecil Graves with Charles Cecil and Dan Graves. He also studied his craft at the Florence Academy of Art. Brown apprenticed with painter D. Jeffrey Mims in Florence and North Carolina on two mural projects.

His work has been exhibited most notably in London, as well as in Washington, D.C. and San Francisco, for example. Aside from his mural work with D. Jeffrey Mims, Brown restored more mural paintings at the Sandhills Performing Arts Center in Southern Pines, North Carolina. In October of 1990, Dan Graves asked Brown to teach at the Florence Academy of Art. Brown won the second award at the Concorso AICS Falco-Cerevelo Exhibition in Santa Maria del Carmine Church in Florence, Italy.
